This architecturally award winning extension to the existing school entailing a substantial extension to the existing facility was achieved whilst the school remained live throughout.  

Value for Money was achieved relative to the client briefed BREEAM standard of ‘Excellent’ within the constraint of a tight budget it is offered that our role within the design phase was demanding but nonetheless constructive to the design process.  Consequently the sustainability targets are ‘on track’ to be met.

In particular our role which has required to have been informative and pro-active has entailed two key aspects of advice.

Namely advice regarding the estimated capital cost expenditure for design components and plant and equipment and thus enable informed design team judgements to be made relative to the potential BREEAM credit scores.

In doing so this is offered as being both strategic and detailed in nature and consequently has enabled a ‘fit’ of planned capital expenditure relative to the design and sustainability target to be met.  To achieve this has required regular distinct meetings and deliverables and thus enable the overall credit score to be monitored and achieved.
