Brown + Wallace Building Surveying were appointed to provide full Contract Administrator, Cost Management and Principal Designer services for an Edinburgh university.
The works comprised of a computer lab fit out including full decoration, alteration and upgrade to existing M&E, raised access floor, removal of internal partitions and new electric sliding partition. A tight timescale of works was programmed with an ambitious 5 weeks to deadline, to ensure the project could be handed back to the University prior to the students returning.
We also provided a bespoke space planning service and Brown + Wallace made application for and obtained all necessary statutory consents including preparation of Building Warrant drawings. Detailed specification of works were prepared as part of the contract documents and drawings issued to contractors for competitive tendering.
Brown + Wallace managed the works to a successful completion and under budget.
