Govan Housing association in partnership with Glasgow City Council and Central Govan Action Plan commissioned the masterplan for water row Govan Glasgow. Brown and Wallace are delighted to be involved in this project and are providing Quantity Surveying and Client Representative Services. We have been working in conjunction with the Project Partnering Team including CCG (Scotland) Ltd and Collective Architecture to progress the project to RIBA stage 4. The first phase of regeneration at the site will deliver 92 affordable homes and over 9,000 square feet of ground floor commercial accommodation.
Councillor Kenny McLean, city convener for neighbourhoods, housing and public realm at Glasgow City Council, said: “The regeneration of Water Row will not only bring new affordable homes, jobs and services to Govan, but add to the developments taking place throughout the area, from the forthcoming Govan – Partick Bridge to Govan Old and the Glasgow Riverside Innovation District. All of these projects will make Govan a more attractive place in which to live, work and invest."
